Argon NEO 5 NVMe
An aluminium Raspberry Pi 5 case with a built in fan and integrated M.2 NVMe slot, combining thermal management and storage in a compact enclosure.
The Argon NEO 5 NVMe is an aluminium enclosure for the Raspberry Pi 5 that combines passive heatsinking, an active fan, and an M.2 NVMe storage slot in a compact form factor.
Thermal management
The aluminium shell acts as a passive heatsink across the full outer surface of the case. A built in fan supplements this, controlled by the Raspberry Pi 5's fan header. Running a Pi continuously under server workloads generates sustained heat. The combination of passive and active cooling in the Argon NEO 5 results in a significant temperature reduction compared to a bare board or a standard heatsink setup.
Storage
The case incorporates an M.2 slot that connects to the Raspberry Pi 5's PCIe 2.0 interface via the onboard FPC connector. It accepts M.2 NVMe drives in 2230 and 2242 form factors, providing fast solid state storage directly inside the enclosure. Because it uses the Pi's sole PCIe interface, it occupies the same connection as HATs such as the Raspberry Pi AI HAT+ 2. The two cannot be used simultaneously without a specific multi interface board.
