Reolink 2K+ Video Doorbell

The Reolink 2K+ Video Doorbell is a wired doorbell camera with a 5MP sensor, a 180-degree diagonal field of view, and RTSP support for local network streaming.

The camera supports RTSP, the open streaming protocol that allows Frigate and other compatible software to pull its video feed directly over the local network.

Specifications

The camera shoots at 2560 by 1920 pixels using a 5MP sensor, with HDR processing and distortion correction built in. The 180-degree diagonal field of view covers a full driveway or entrance area without needing to angle the camera to catch the edges. It connects via dual band WiFi on 2.4GHz or 5GHz, with an RJ45 socket for a wired network connection if you prefer.

Local storage uses a 64GB microSD card included in the box, with support for cards up to 256GB. It supports continuous, motion triggered, and scheduled recording modes. The 64GB card will hold several days of footage at full resolution before it begins overwriting.

The camera has its own onboard AI detection, though this becomes largely redundant once Frigate is connected.

The key distinction from closed camera systems is that this camera requires no cloud account to function. It records to local storage, streams over RTSP, and operates exactly as purchased regardless of what happens with Reolink's services or subscription offerings.
